Due to a change in management and structure we (and some other families) have been asked to vacate where we live. So, Huck and I have decided instead of just jumping into another place to rent, we are going to go on an adventure. We are selling off a lot of our personal belongings, and moving into a RV. For the next 18 to 24 months, we are going to travel the United States Prospecting for America.
Why Prospecting for America? The title has a dual purpose. I have always been a hobby prospector. Yep, a fat ol' man in a stream panning for gold. It's a lot of fun and yes I do have some gold. We are joining the Lost Dutchman's Mining Association. They have many campgrounds across the U.S. where we can stay at, create, gold pan, and more. The other side of the title is just that. We are going to travel the United States and see things that we haven't seen. The kids have Yellowstone as their first pick. Huck, the waterfalls in Oregon. Me, I want to walk the fields of Little Big Horn.
So now the adventure begins. We have 30 days.
Follow this blog and join us in our adventure. Today is day 1. RV hunting and starting to 'scale' down the personal belongings.
Oh yea. Blockhead Radio will still be on the air. We are going to do one big show a week (more on that later) and Huck will still be selling online at ArtFire, Spookytime Jingles, and her site.
p.s. You can join us on our adventure across America too. Get you name on the 'bus'. We will be selling off spots on our rolling billboard. On the bus we are going to have links to this blog, Hucks, and Blockhead Radio. Lettering will be about 1 1/2 inches high by 24 inches long.and will stay on the bus for a year. The cost is $20 and Huck will be painting the links on. As always gotta be kid friendly. If you want more information or to get your spot email me at prospectingforamerica@gmail.com
I think I would be scared . You two are so adventurous . I will be following the blog , Please be safe , and let us know how all of you are doing . The best wishes & prayers to you guys .

ReplyDeleteWe just went across America this summer. No kids but I was driving the van with our Basset Hound and my husband was riding his bicycle. We started in Seaside Oregon and ended in Norfolk Virginia. Well actually that was just the bicycle part. We started in Florida and drove to Oregon to start that part of the adventure. So we saw most of the US by the time we were done. You will have a ball. We met so many wonderful people and saw so many things I never even knew were there. I am sure you will too.
